Partners in Children’s Health

Your Giving and Impact

Thank You

Dairy Queen Canada continued to deliver strong support to local children’s hospitals across Canada in 2023. Rallying fans, crew members and franchisees, DQ achieved a remarkable $2.89 million in total giving. On behalf of our entire network of children’s hospitals – and the millions of kids and family members across Canada who need them – thank you.

Miracle Treat Day remained a cherished community tradition in its 21st consecutive year, raising more than 95% of DQ’s annual total. Increased sales on Miracle Treat Day show that fans and communities are inspired by DQ’s efforts for children’s health – and eager to lend their support.

The Round Up for Kids Campaign also continued to gain ground. We saw year-over-year growth in the number of franchisees embracing this additional opportunity to engage fans while helping local children’s hospitals.

The Dairy Queen Grill & Chill in Sussex, New Brunswick was honoured with the 2023 Children’s Miracle Network Canada Step Up for the Kids Award – having achieved the largest increase in fundraising of any franchisee across Canada in 2023.

Your support helps Keira – and her care team – bring their best.

Keira loves piano, dancing, musical theatre, and showing her appreciation for HSC Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. She was born with craniosynostosis, a condition that fuses the plates in a baby’s skull before their brain is fully formed. Left untreated, it can cause vision loss, facial disfigurement, and developmental problems as the growing brain presses against the skull. Keira had two surgeries to manage the condition before she was nine. She continues to receive specialized care as she grows, including dental and eye care. Keira’s mom says the atmosphere of support, encouragement, and humour in the children’s hospital helped to shape Keira’s positive outlook on her journey.
